Can creativity support confidence growth?

Join us for a brand-new Creative Club series where we’ll explore the connection between creativity and resilience. Using a range of playful and reflective techniques, we’ll experiment with how creative practice might help us feel braver, freer, and more self-assured.

Creativity is proven to support overall wellbeing; can it also help us grow in confidence? Together, we’ll find out! Through a mix of guided exercises and open exploration, you’ll have the chance to test new ideas and discover what creativity means to you.

This series will culminate in an exhibition at The Art House this December, showcasing some of your creations around the theme of wellbeing (participants will be asked if they would like to participate; workshops may produce pieces to share or build up to the creation or original work).

No prior art experience (or belief in your own “artistic skill”) is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to play. All basic materials are provided, but please bring your own sketchbook if you have one. We’ll also have paper options available, and sketchbooks for purchase if you’d like one.

Please note: we are not mental health professionals. If you require mental health support, we encourage you to seek guidance from appropriate services.

Workshop Dates:

22nd Oct – Negativity into positivity: exploring turning negative things/moods in to positivity through the practice of art.

05th Nov – I am who I am: exploring making mood boards of all the quirky things that you are drawn to, celebrating the uniqueness and individuality.

19th Nov – Creative journalling; Playing with memories of places and exploring staying in the moment.

3rd Dec – Affirmations: looking at the science of rewiring the brain.

17th Dec – Vision boarding: exploring what we want and when we want it!

These events workshops are in partnership with the University of Worcester’s Art and Design Communication Department and Institute of Art and Humanities.

Student discount is available to get ticket for £7.50 rather than £13.50, use code: STUDENT-CC.
