D&AD New Blood Awards

This brief for ‘On’ for the D&AD New Blood Awards focused on createing an original advertising campaign that communicates “Feel Nothing. To Feel Everything”. Using the Swiss mountains, I created an image where the shoes represented an epic escape.

Major Project

AllerJoy is an Allergy and Intolerant friendly meal prep company I created, which sends safe foods to your door. With “unique to you” recipe cards, this project has included creating a complete visual identity, brand guidelines and a few specific touch points.

ETHAN TAMMO

Major Project

I created a brand and visual identity for a new challenger energy drink called UpChai, designing packaging and an advertisement as example touch-points. I used market research and a focus group to support the development of the product.

Pantone Brief

For this project, I created a fictional collaboration with street artist Fanakapan to advertise a social street art project that promoted a fresh new direction for Pantone – combining their unique identities into one design.

D&AD New Blood Awards

An advertising campaign for GiffGaff’s Refurbished phone brand. The aim was to get people to equate refurbished phones with GiffGaff.

Connect4Climate advertising campaign

In large tupperware’s, garages and attics they lie, purchased in wrappings, a bundle of happiness in each enclosure. They were loved before purchase, loved after purchase, and still loved, still too loved to be let go. #DonateOldToys

Major Project

Directors Cut is a magazine exploring the minds shaping modern cinema. Each issue is an intricately curated tribute, dedicated entirely to a single director, capturing their essence through editorial design that is inspired by their unique cinematic style.

D&AD New Blood Awards

Lingua Franca is a series of typographic posters created as a response to a brief set by Monotype for the D&AD new blood awards. The posters represent a neglect towards the world’s problems, and the themes of freedom vs law & order.

LUKE SARGENT

Art Direction

For this fashion project I blended graphic designer Zuzana Lichko’s graphic style with fashion icon Vivienne Westwood. Using Lichko’s typographic patterns and Westwood’s bold aesthetic, I created this unique, expressive T-shirt design concept.

Concrete Poetry – big idea

This idea explores mental health through concrete poetry, using typography from a WHO article to form a head silhouette. Inspired by a Desmond Tutu’s quote, the word “light” is hidden within the darkness – symbolising hope within struggle, both visually and conceptually.

I loved how broad the course was – I could pick from a wide range of modules to suit my interests. The lecturers were all so enthusiastic it was impossible not to enjoy the course.
