MA Creative Media…

…lets you negotiate an individual programme of study. The course has been written to allow the greatest choice of flexibility of learning experience, as you may be developing your practice, working as a new media professional, or a self-employed practitioner.

Alongside your creative and practical work, you will develop key conceptual skills, gaining an understanding of the cultural, historical and technological influences that continue to shape art, design and visual communication.

The programme supports you as a postgraduate student-practitioner in the development of creative and professional skills necessary for the next stage of your career.

The showcase of heritage architecture

This image captures heritage architecture through a low-angle perspective, symmetry, and natural lighting. It highlights Gothic Revival features – arched windows, stonework, and battlements, while vivid contrast and clear framing emphasize the tower’s grandeur, age, and architectural significance with compelling visual impact.

Screen print and linocut: Dogs

Designed for use in a paediatric burns ward, this print invites the young viewer to spot the dogs. Created to distract the patient, the colour palette has been selected to remind them of water, blue skies and sunshine.

Pencil drawing: Out Damned Spot

Pencil drawing: Out Damned Spot

This pencil study is part of a wider project exploring the impact of marine pollution on wildlife. Themes of human culpability and water bring to mind Macbeth, Act V Scene I, and Lady Macbeth’s compulsive attempts to expunge her guilt.

“I had been consistently impressed with the staff and facilities at Worcester University, and the unique combination of a one-year Masters course with wide flexibility offered within the modules made the Creative Digital Media MA the ideal course for me.”
