My work tackles a variety of subject matter and themes but there is almost always an element of humour, a sense of adventure and lots of trees!
All of these things lend themselves well to the picture book which is my favourite format to work in. Telling stories through sequential illustration, the drama of the page turn and the book as a tangible art object is what appeals to me most about picture books.
I enjoy working with mixed media and have a soft spot for watercolour and pencil crayons, usually in warm, earthy tones heavily inspired by autumn.
