I work in both animation, mainly in 2D with a variety of techniques, and live action, concentrating on cinematography and assistant directing where possible. Having grown up in Switzerland and having seen a lot of different places, I draw inspiration from various sources. My interest lies in exploring the relationship between content and form, with a tendency to utilise analogue and traditional techniques, such as dark room work, adding an additional layer of tactile perception. With a narrative starting point I work by building a visual language to support it and carry the project. I love simplicity. Through my work I have come to appreciate absence and how it can convey meaning and emotion.
